McCarty Dr. Radiator Service History
It was in 1976 when our grandfather asked us to help him clean up his "shop". He had opened a radiator repair shop near downtown Houston. On weekends we would go to the shop to learn the trade of cleaning and repairing radiators and fix flat tires. For us it was extra spending money for school, baseball gloves, a bike etc. Eventually we graduated from high school and pretty much went our separate ways. In 1977 "Almaguer Radiator Shop" was opened and started to do business in the southeast part of Houston. there we got experience taking care of customer needs and reinforced what we had learned when we worked in our grandfather's shop. At this point each one of us was ready to get married and start a family.
In 1984 the family decided to open a new location servicing the Houston ship channel area, and "McCarty Dr. Radiator Service" was opened. We have been servicing the auto, truck and industrial sector six days a week 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ever since.
By 1985 we had expanded our business to four different locations in the Houston metropolitan area. These locations included East Houston, Southeast Houston, Clear Lake area and Northwest Houston. An important business decision was made to concentrate all of our resources to one of these locations to serve our customers better, which is the "McCarty Dr. Radiator Service" location, where we have grown from two technicians and one salesman to ten technicians, five salesman and one office administrator.
